  • Compromises concerning eating, bathing, dressing, using the restroom, transferring and walking, and continence
  • Progressive loss of weight while accounting for edema weight
  • Increasing weakness, exhaustion, and sleepiness
  • Declining mental capacity
  • Skin deterioration
  • The specific deterioration in health
  • Multiple infections
